Chowder, Blues & Brews 07 - Florence, Oregon
The Florence Oregon Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 12th Annual Chowder, Blues & Brews Festival on September 21, 22, & 23 featuring some of the finest blues music that Oregon has to offer, microbrews from 5 of Oregon's best microbreweries and the Oregon Coast Professional Chowder Cook-Off.

The festivities kick-off Friday afternoon at the Florence Events Center rocking with great blues artists from the Western Oregon area, followed Saturday with the seventh annual Oregon Coast Professional Chowder Cook-Off People’s Choice tasting starting at 1:00 pm which lasts until the chowder is gone. Festival goers will have a chance to taste the best chowder the Oregon Coast has to offer from communities extending from Astoria to Brookings.

In past years the Chowder, Blues & Brews event has drawn visitors from up and down the Oregon Coast, Eugene, Springfield and much of the Willamette Valley. Mark your calendar; you won’t want to miss this weekend, at a time of the year where we can expect the most beautiful weather one can imagine on the Central Oregon Coast

It almost sounds as much fun as the Garlic festival in Gilroy. Chowder with Garlic would be a great combo. Definately beets poi. Aloha
